What is Welfare-to-Work?
Welfare-to-Work is an employment program that helps families receiving CalWORKs Cash Aid become self sufficient by providing job search assistance and job training opportunities.
Services Include:
- Job Training Scholarships up to $4500.00
- Paid positions with private businesses
- Paid On-the-Job Training
- Unpaid internships
- DRIVE Center drop-in work experience
- Child Care
- Transportation reimbursement
- Job search workshops
- Legal workshops
- Self-employment workshops
- Counseling
- Substance abuse and mental health services
- Financial aid for up to 12 months
- Housing assistance
